Thanks @Johnson, what brand do you use/recommend please? Thanks

Nothing fancy, just Wickes PVA admix adhesive.

I keep a small jar of it with my modelling stuff and apply it with a fine brush. I use it sparingly for fixing canopies and for the 1/72 Mk 24 Spit I made recently I taped (very thin strips of Tamiya tape) the vacuformed canopy to the fuselage sides, to reduce the gap, left it 24 hours and it stuck fine. I never use ordinary poly or superglue (cryo, CA) anywhere near clear parts. I also use it for attaching small parts at the end of a build where the stronger glues might spoil the finish.

Looking good.

Just a question.  It the dark green RLM71 or RLM70?

The reason I ask is I always use RLM71.  Did they Also use RLM70?

I rather like the look of your one.

Hi Greg,

in late 1939 the Luftwaffe started to change the 109s camo to something much lighter.

To that effect they replaced the RLM 70 by the RLM 02, keeping the RLM 71 as before.

At the same time, the light blue RLM 65 was brought way up on the sides of the fuselage and on the vertical surfaces.

The RLM 70 was kept for spinners and propellers.

Hope that helps a little bit.

JR

A small bit to do on this and still a few other models that probably won’t make it. 12 builds across 6 GBs did it for me. I won’t get a chance to properly weather this as tonight and probably Sunday will be my last bench time for BoB

I'm afraid it's worse than that mate, Saturday is the end date of the group build :(

However you are so nearly there... you can do it :)

Cheers,

Stew
