OK sorry if I'm giving you unwanted ideas. I'll be quite now promise

Your CR1 is certainly a great improvement over the standard OOB kit

Nice work on the TOGs Ivan, pity it was done so quick..... (must be something else you can add...:hmmm:)

Just need to get my finger out now I suppose and get the antislip done before you romp away!

Thanks all for your comments. Your right Darryl there is a bit more to be done! I forgot the door open and closed lever. 😀

After this there will be a good sized break to modelling due to an impending move.More worrying is OIC household asking me what I was going to do with my models!! 🤔(silly question really)

cheers

Ivan

Nice one Darryl 👍

AJ i got some spools of wire off the interweb,0.3,0.4 and 0.5 were the sizes I went for I used 0.4 for the tie downs and 0.5 for the handles. Might well have used the 0.3 for the tie downs but the bit woundt hold in my drill 😟

HTH,

Ivan

Thanks Ivan - yes it does! :)

Hi Ivan, coming along really well, nice work.

Just a quick query (for my own benefit much as owt), does the anti slip not cover the sloping front of the turret and the rear turret bin. Or is it a case of it varying from vehicle to vehicle?

Cheers

Not sure  Darryl but photos I have show only on top of the turret, Cr2 does have it down the slope and turret sides though.

Thanks to all for your comments 👍

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi ivan, coming on nicely,  just thrown some paint at mine btw.

At least you've gone green and stone, wouldn't it have been embarrassing if we'd both done green and black!:phew:

Still tempted by some decent tracks after seeing yours....

Nice work

Thanks Darryl,

Its going to complete my ‘enemy’ collection from Salisbury Plain.

I will say the fruils went together  like a dream! no drilling out the holes at all 👌

Hope we'll get to see the full collection of the "enemy" when done.

Only done one set of Fruils and I actually enjoyed them...must be mad! I'll see how the Tamiya ones work out and then decide.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments 👍

Kris for this one I used a 50/50 mix of fine/ medium pumice powder,

I painted a section using enamel paint and then sprinkled the powder on,knock off the excess and when dry use a soft brush to dust it off. HTH,

Ivan

As already said that is looking very swish, I do like the sand/green scheme over the black/green.

    Roger

Well, that's just charming!

And what is wrong with traditional green and black! :fight:

Nothing wrong with black/green Darryl I just prefer the BATUS/Salisbury Plain schemes as they are not so often dipicted on scale replicas.
