1/72 - MiG-23ML, MLA, MLD and P "Flogger" by ClearProp Models - 3D renders

Posted (edited)

ClearProp Models is to release a family of (wrong scale  😎) 1/72nd MiG-23ML, MLA, MLD and P "Flogger" kits.

First in line is a 1/72nd MiG-23MLD "Flogger-K" - ref. CP72021

The new project from Clear Prop Models began with measurements of several real aircraft, which allowed us to develop reliable and accurate drawings formed the basis of our 3D model. Our new model CP72021 MiG-23 MLD will be produced as plastic kit in 1/72 scale. Also, the following modifications of lightweight MiG are planned: ML, MLA, MLD and P.

Moreover, this summer, another new project of the famous aircraft, which is also designed on the basis of our own drawings, will be announced.

Concerning the last statement I suspect a family of ground-attack MiG-23BN/MiG-27.

Excellent news 😀 This should be good. I wonder what they mean by "another new project of the famous aircraft"? Do they mean a famous aircraft or this famous aircraft?

Now we're talkin' Clearprop! This manufacturer manages to keep me on the edge of the seat. Well done!

The RV/ KP and Art kits never quite grabbed my attention, but having seen Clearprop's products thus far - this promises to be a stunner!

I hope this kit is very successful!

Then maybe they will scale it up to 1/48th!  🙂👍🍺

Thick black lines from the bottom of the wing and the tail, is this the place where the upper and lower halves of the wing and the tail compound?

If so, then the joint of the wing parts from below, will cross the lines of the flaps and slats ..... welcome to the good old world of sandpaper, putty and scriber to restore the panel lines?

For the twenties of the twenty-first century, it would seem to be the problem of separately making ailerons and slats (fans who do wing mechanization in the take-off / landing position will say thanks!) or make a compound along the flap / slat line ...."but no, the mouses cried, pricked, but continued to eat a cactus!"(с)

Of course, if I read the 3D model correctly.

At the same time, it is impossible not to mention a rather interesting solution with a nose part, but it will not be known how well it will work during assembly.

Basically, of course, this model MiG-23MLD should be better than what other manufacturers did before it.

Fantastic news. Clearprop makes excellent kits and the Mig-23 deserves a high quality model.

I had been rather hoping for this to happen. Some Angolan (never mind the Spanish accent) decals from the Namibian War, then if Special Hobby could get on to the right version of Mirage F1 for a SAAF fighter...

As with the Su-25 I do wonder what the plans are for included ordnance?

Better make my RV ones quickly.

Judging from the quality of previous Clearprop kits, this promises to be a must-buy for all fan of postwar jets ! Guess it will not be pocket money, but still I will have to get me one of these when it's out

That's hard to say as it's clear the wings haven't been finished yet as there is no other detail on them. Hopefully they will release the CAD model like for some of their other kits when it's finished for us to take a look.

That's what I was hoping when I first read it, as a 27 is much needed but with Clear Prop doing a wide range of subjects it's hard to say from that statement.
