Hook
The Italeri represents the Hind-E, not the Hind-D, no matter what the box tops state. Notice the empty outer wing racks on the KP box art where the AT-3 Swatters of the 'D would be..? That's because the Italeri kit only has parts for the AT-6 Spirals of the Hind-E/V/P. This also goes for the undernose sensor array. Additionally, the angle of the vertical tail is inaccurate and the fuselage lacks the anti-torque twist of the real thing. Zvezda's Hinds are the only kits in 1/72nd that represent this feature. If you want a good D in Gentlemen's Scale, the best route is Eduards Hind Combo which combines the Zvezda current-top dog Hind-E kit with resin parts for the D, plus a sprue of Zvezda's Hind-A for the Swatters: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/eduard-2116-mi-24-in-czech-and-czechoslovak-service--1006817 Cheers, Andre Edited July 2, 2020 by Hook Typo
stakor
You can also make Mi-24D from the Hasegawa kit. It has both 9M17 and 9K114 missiles with appropriate two versions of ATGM antenna. Or Airfix that made Mi-24 D. But it's always a question why if you have Eduard Mi-24D conversion to best available zvezda kit, both Airfix and Hasegawa were made over 30 years ago... As for DDR markings you can use HDL in 1/72. Edited July 2, 2020 by stakor
ptarmigan
Inaccuracies abound - the Czech 0815 was Mi-24V. Spot other differences: https://www.armedconflicts.com/Mi-24V-0815-t52028
AlCZ
I think a KP have Italeri kit from Bílek - they re-boxed many Italeri kits- and Hind is one from this. But Zvezda and HobbyBoss are better choice.
