IV(AC)Plumb Posted June 28, 2020 Share Posted June 28, 2020 Conversion from the Airfix 1/48 HC3 Ok this is a big project, converting the Airfix 1/48 Agusta Westland AW101 Merlin to the new Norweiian Air Force Search & Rescue Helicopter. Cheers from Norway! Xtradecal do them in 1/72 but it's such a big conversion I'm not sure what the demand would be like. Whirlybird asked if I'd be interested in making my work into a conversion kit, but the way I build would effectively mean destroying my model to cast bits of it. Terry1954 Posted July 8, 2020 Share Posted July 8, 2020 Will follow this with interest like @perdu as I have a 1/72 Merlin put aside for this scheme along with a Sea King and Whirlybird update set, for Norwegian service. I have some good shots of a Norwegian AW101 from Farnborough back in 2018. I'll dig them out. The Norwegian interested is encouraged by my wife, who has much Norwegian blood! Terry PS.
