Don’t forget to paint the wheels and tyres!

Thanks AW - done! :)

The Airfix one has been knocked off, twice, so I'll need to pin it :(

Rats.

A while ago I was complaining about the heat.

Guess what.

15.6º in the man cave at the moment.

Cardigan on.

The argument with Mrs B over turning on the heating is likely to 'warm up' later…

Yes it’s turned cold here too. Threatening to go to 1degree overnight.

My man cave has underfloor heating so it’s always a temperate 22 degrees :)

At this point I’ll reprise one of my favourite quotes. ‘I love summer it’s my favourite week of the year’

Thanks Mark (2996), Bill, John, Marklo, Ben, Chris, Johnny and Tony :)

Radiator key found, heating on (all day programme) and radiators checked. We're warming!

Just as well because the wheel painting yesterday was marred by shivering.

Almost embarrassed to show the pinning:

I mean, look at that wobbly paint! Ugh.

Still it's fitted now:

Temperature rising, slowly, so may be warm enough to get some matt coat on later.

In the meantime, I decided I should buy some cheap digital scales so that I can weigh parcels and use Click and Drop to send Troy the promised leftover bits (see, I haven't forgotten).

They looked bigger on the website:

…but good enough for £8.50 I guess.

Aaah... NOW we know why you've had a lack of mojo! Stop looking at those websites Ced!

Nice fix on the tailwheel though!

Ian

Still 33C here at 8pm, but you complained about that earlier. No pleasing some people!

Nice fix on the tail wheel  Ced  It looks like it would benefit from a dark wash, though....

Ciao

Thanks Giorgio - weathering is still something I need to practice… one day :)

Great looking trio there Ced, it`s a pain when you knock something off and you end up pinning it.

But she`s there sir.

As for heating, I did a radiator check during the week and all runs nicely, warm man cave 😀.

Simon.

Thanks Simon - warm here now too, hooray! :)

I wish I'd listened to what my fellow BMers told me about gloss coats before transfers.

What did they say?

I don't know, I didn't listen (thanks to Douglas Adams)

A second coat has been applied.

I will gloss coat before transfers.

I will gloss coat before transfers.

I will gloss coat before transfers.

(100 lines is too much…)

Lights, props and exhausts to go on and then we're done!

Finally.

Yeuch! Silvering drives me bonkers.

If you feel up for it, take a sewing needle and stab through the transfer where it’s silvered. Lots of tiny holes. Apply some setting solution, or diluted/thinned varnish, with a soft brush over the stabbed area. I prefer varnish in such attempts. Keep adding more pin pricks to help the varnish fill the silvered areas. Top coat with preferred Finish when it’s dry.

It may not fix all the silvering, but it helps to minimise it.

(Edited because the forum filth filter picked up on a P word!)

I nearly had, except I just found I'd broken and lost  a bit of an Arma UC which you won't be using,  as I have actually done some building..   Very interesting and neat kit that Arma Mk.I,  though a bit fiddly.

try bedding them in Kleer?

https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235038987-bedding-decals-in-klear-future-or-equivalent/

also try fairly hot water for decals, I've used a large jam jar lid on a coffee machine hotplate, makes then very flexible.  Not a good idea for very thin or fragile ones.

To be fair these days I gloss coat before most steps. It’s almost like I can undo to that point. 🤩

The Hurries look great but please gloss coat in the future or I’ll stop saving little 1/72 pilots for you. 🤣
