Wet sanding

No.  Polystyrene  dust AFAIK is inert.  Obviously you don't want to breathe in loads,  but if it was in anyway dangerous above any other dust you might breathe in, you'd have heard about it. Wet sanding with a mask will keep any dust to a minimum, and I'd say was overkill.    Wet sanding will help reduce clogging of sanding sheets though.

 

What you do is what people do for resin, which is not recommended to breathe in.

 

If in doubt, have a google.  I just did, nothing screamingly obvious about it.
