nheather
I’m more into military vehicles but I have an Airfix 1:48 Mk Hurricane Mk I in my stash, this one https://www.airfix.com/uk-en/hawker-hurricane-mk-1-1-48.html and I don’t real like the colour scheme. I have a question Does anyone know if this can this be built as a standard Battle of Britain Mk I ? Clearly I will need some different decals. Alternatively, build as a tropical but with different decals. Any suggestions, I know absolutely nothing about after market decals and don’t want to spend much as this is only a bit of fun - I only paid around £10 on the kit so don’t really want to spend the same on decals. Cheers, Nigel
Evil_Toast_RSA
It has the parts to build a Mk.1 or Sea Hurricane, so all you need are decals.
nheather
Sea Hurricane now that may be interesting. Don’t recall seeing an arrestor hook - will have a closer look at the sprues. Cheers, Nigel
stever219
All of the parts for the Sea Hurricane are on the Tropical and Mk.I sprue, including a new lower rear fuselage insert and catapult spools.
Jeff G
I had the same situation as you, I built it as a Battle of Britain aircraft but used decals I had from another kit. Are you comfortable with masking letters and painting them on yourself? That's always a free option! Looking forward to seeing whatever you choose to do 😃
neilh
I built my BoB Mk I boxing using Finnish markings so probably have the Airfix decal sheet in my decal stash. PM me your address and if I still have them I'll send them to you if you want them.
