Getting the room dust free

Hi all,

Before airbrushing I spray the room with a cheap water atomiser to reduce the amount of dust in the air. Works well but is not perfect. Especially gloss black prepping for NMF finishes will still catch quite a lot of dust.

I noticed the other day with the sun shining in that as I sat down lots of dust was released into the air from what I was wearing - recently washed BTW 🙃.

So who can help with reducing dust further and does anyone out there actually wear dust free or dust proof clothing to keep dust down?

Thanks all,

I'm not sure what material is the best to wear but fleece jumpers are by far the worse to have anywhere near your spraying/modelling room. And getting rid of any carpetting from your room would also help.

Do you cover the model after it has been painted? I use a plastic cake cover (maybe that should be a cake plastic cover) or for larger models, one of those plastic boxes for tidying things into - upside down. That seems to work.

And if I don't wear my glasses I can't see the dust 😀
