At the time my cartesian approach could have been summarized by "Yukkk!!!". I never paid attention to the upsweep. I puttied, sanded, etc... and got everything quite right. And then I cracked the canopy... Many unsuccessful attempts later at thermo-forming a new one led to my chucking the model into the spares' box... I have never looked at a 1/144 kit again thereafter. Shame. JR There are some amazing 1/144 kits now, some even have better details than the much larger kits.

ajmm
Ha! Fair enough. Don’t consider that a heckle! I know all about not finding the time for this hobby (he said, hoping the two toddlers upstairs lie down and go to sleep at SOME point this afternoon). Hockeyboy76
After @Col.‘s jab in the ribs we have some progress. Im still using @nimrod54‘s special modelling specs and managed to get some tape belts added to the seat. I do feel I should apologise to host @JOCKNEY and the Britmodeller massive for getting to the second page before any building occurred . In my feeble defence, I was lead astray by @trickyrich

Hockeyboy76
Time to catch up with this one, nose is fitted but needs sorting as there’s a step. Need to finish this, start the Sea Harrier with my good buddy @nimrod54, finish a Deffiant in the BoB GB, give @trickyrich some stick and start a RAFG Tonka.

Hockeyboy76
Almost finished, & to keep @nimrod54 happy, some brass rod has been used to replace the out of scale pitot
nimrod54
That's a neat little model, mate and it's good to see that the use of brass rod is starting to rub off.
Hockeyboy76
If you ever build one of these, fit the nozzles early on. They don’t fit well especially when the wing pylons are fitted. Lets just say it was good that I had the house to myself
