Camo Viking
Hi all, Possibly a dumb question, but are there any odour-free paints out there that are suitable to run through an airbrush? I'm (ultimately) looking for a colour range that can do: WW2 German night-fighters, IJN / IJAAF planes and the generic colours you use everywhere such as silver / green / brown / black / gun-metal / white, etc. A friend mentioned Vallejo did something suitable, but not what range. Many thanks, V
Steve 1602
Vallejo model air is airbrush ready from the bottle. I’ve started using them and they are odour free and perform really well. Their model colour range can also be thinned for airbrush use and again is odour free. Steve
Tim R-T-C
I use Vallejo Air for brushing, no odour and good packs of colours available. Although experts disagree on the accuracy of some - particularly the RAF. Lots of prior discussions on these forums.
Stef N.
Tamiya acrylics are good especially for military subjects. Very low odour, good range and easy to mix.
Camo Viking
Thanks very much for the leads, gentlemen! I shall see what paints are available at my local hobby shop and stock up with what I need.
Mark Harmsworth
Almost any acrylic that is water based has little smell. I use xtracrylix and ultimate for metallic. Tamiya acrylics aren't water based and have a noticeable whiff.
