David Womby
This is Italeri's C-47. KP208 was delivered to the RAF sometime in 1944. I can't find records of her war service. She had a long service career after WW2 as a transport, sometimes for VIPs, including service in the 50s with Coastal Command in the UK then, in the 60s, Norway followed by a period in India. She was retired in 1970 and now sits on display (but painted in wartime colours representing a different Dakota) outside the Parachute Regiment HQ in Colchester. This is is how she looked at Carlisle airport in 1963. David

SAT69
You just have to love the lines of the C-47/DC-3. Your model represents the real airplane very well. A most commendable build.

TheyJammedKenny!
I second the motion on the finish! That's a beautiful use of an indifferent kit to make a really nice Dak. I especially like the leading edge lights. The color scheme is one of my favorites.

airbus320
That scheme really sets off the Dakotas lines, what a beautiful model! Chris
