jonf45
Hi, Slowly making my way through the Tomcat kit manufacturers! Next up is the new Academy one( to be finished as VF-142 Ghostriders machine if i can ever get hold of the later decals!!!) Anyway, finished off this Hasegawa F-14 today. This is BuNo 160406/AJ207, USS Nimitz, circa 1986. The kit had far too many tiny/fiddly bits for my liking/ability, and disappointed that the wings cant swing. I had the idea of not glueing the wing bladders so the wing position could be interchangeable then promptly put the long red stripe over the first set, idiot!!! The decals went on really nicely though. I made a few mistakes as usual, and i really wish id left the wings clean as dont like how the scuff marks came out, but you live and learn(hopefully!) On to the next one...... SAT69
Extra nice work on this one. Looking at your picture of the three Tomcats, all are very well done and though I normally go for the very colorful squadron colors, for reasons I can't explain I especially like the VF-74 bird.

binbrook87
Very nice 👍 I like them all but the VF-41 machine is a little bit different in its transitional high / low viz scheme. Great work on all three
