I would describe this model of the old Airfix kit as a 6 footer - looks great from 6 feet away...!!!

 

I had no intention of building this, it sort of just happened and quite quickly due to the basicness of the kit.  I am pleasantly surprised at how this has actually turned out as I wasn't expecting too much from it.  I used a combination of kit decals (still good!!) and from an Italeri B-57 kit.

 

Airbrushed using Tamiya paints and planted on top of a Corgi stand.  As there was nothing in the kit relating to the camera fitment I decided to represent these in a very basic manner with a deep red paint application, only just better than nothing but does suggest that there is something in the nose and belly!!

 

Shown here on my shelf with a few more recon assets used by the USAF/CIA during the Vietnam War (except the drone).

I honestly don't know why you refer to your RB-57E as a six footer as it stands up to close inspection very well. Nicely done. Like your reconn' collection too.

That looks fantastic... its scrubbed up really well. The black finish is superb. How you've managed to get no silvering on the decals is amazing 👏👍
