11. Instrument panel in cockpit as on MiG-35 type.... The cockpit area is very narrow and there is no place to work in detail.

Could it be done to insert a section along the section axis along the entire length?  This will immediately solve all problems with the existing layout, the cockpit  will become wider, the bomb bay ....

In smaller aft bay there will be two R-73 (AA-11 "Archer") missiles. In longer and wider front bay there will be mix of R-27 (AA-10 "Alamo") and R-77/K-77 in total four missiles.

R-27 (AA-10 "Alamo") considered not a promising model missile

without folding rudders and therefore poorly suited for placement inside the bomb bay, it may be worth considering the option:

- two R-73 (AA-11 "Archer")/R-74 + two R-77/K-77 + one R-37;

- two R-73 (AA-11 "Archer")/R-74 + two R-77/K-77 + one KS-172?

The lower half was divided into two pieces along the cut line placed roughly middle of front bay:

1667.jpg

The cut position was selected at that position not to damage diamond wedge shape fairings (although the inner wedges will be removed):

1678.jpg

The rear bay aft area was also expanded to let R-73 missile to fit inside. R-77 missile fit now easily to front bay area:

1679.jpg

The inner diamond shape wedges were also removed:

1680.jpg

All the gaps were filled with putty and both halves were glued together using 30mm polystyrene inserts:

1681.jpg

After a bit filling and sanding now both upper and lower surface halves seem fine:

1682.jpg

The next step is to make front bay wider to allow two missiles side by side.

You are right Serge. I can use either a (or pair) guieded bomb or four K-77.

Do You want to remake the main wheel bay  in order to make the bomb bay the entire length?

Of course, if You want a guieded bomb

, then Your desire is law, but KS-172 Novator, as it seems to me, is quite simple for self-production:

640px-Sketch-of-KS-172S1-missile_2003.sv

But your MiG with KS-172 will be afraid of AWACS!

I haven’t been sketching for a long time ....

🤗

My point of view on МиГ 1.37 "Хорёк-Е"😁

canopy, IRST, wing spoilers,

dielectric panels on:

-wing;

-fin;

-narrow;

-also possible exhaust type .... the diameter of the rear radar is much larger than the front...🤔🤗🤤😲

20200618-210913.jpg

Drop-tank 3000 liter Su-24M type, as I think!

😉😎

In case someone doubts that I, too, am amember of the "MiG-37B club":

20200618-210920.jpg

...in 72nd scale, ofcource!!!

Now you can start to build your dream aircraft hence you have almost everything you need (except red star 😁)...

If I have another one, most likely I will do so, but so far I have only one, and prefer to make it in the Italeri classic style with K-36, R-60 and wheels from the MiG-29.🤗

In addition, my sketch is actually based on Your drawings from this topic!🤔🤗🤝

Fearfully!  My reaction to Your statement can be seen here:

(spitting out sand) I think this is psychological pressure and I will complain to the moderators, the UN and the intergalactic league of nations!

It would be great to get @Nikolay Polyakov's comments as well 🙂

It was a 1994 and me with my friend bought the Italeri kit in the bookstore near the school, right between the lessons... I still remember that day! There was a time when the boys looked forward for the F-19 (real or in a 72nd scale), but we’re having only the Revell’s 1:144 kit. The MiG-37 was an eye-catching and good-produced kit, the only disadvantage was the decals - we’re struggling to get a red stencils visible on the black plastic. Anyway, these stencils was readable and absolutely normal.

The tail looks very MiG-31-ish, very nice! 👍

Ok, I can't wait till tomorrow!.. Here is the final shape (except canopy and IRST) with camo to be applied.

Very interesting approach, Serkan! It reminds me of how I did the remixes... Sometimes I reworking original song (or composition) in a very unusual way, it’s not intentional - just a courage.

You’re doing it big, I’m looking forward for a progress here! 😉

It's been a long time since I heard from you Nikolay. I am very happy to see you here again. I will accelerate this build to be able to go back pending Flankers and Blackbirds 🙂. By the way I have launched a Viper build with Su-57 camo here:

Yes, I made a little pause on modelling because I stuck with a Vigilante and I don’t want to start another build till I’ll finish her. Last night I applied some putty to the fuselage and this means that the ending of the build is moving far away... Thank you, I’m really glad to see you too! 😉

Excellent Viper build, Serkan.

Now this camouflage is no longer relevant, outdated, the future is with overall mirror coatings:

(Resources photo:

as a means of protection against laser weapons.

Therefore, I don't know who was* ex-owner You model:

1652.jpg

but he definitely possessed information about future developments in the field of protection against laser weapons!

😁😁😁_____________

*- maybe he came from the future for  termination  Your future Italery MiG-37 .... termination

with his poor build?😉😁😁

B.R.

Serge

P.S.

On photo, probably really tasting mirror cover as protection cover from Air-to-Air laser weapons.

🤗😎

Last week I was fully busy with building garden fences...

Today I have again a bit time to make some progress on this project. Now the main bay has more room than before:

1682.jpg

1683.jpg

The halves were taped together to check the bay dept:

1684.jpg

Also the fuselage was placed on top of F-22 Raptor to compare the sizes:

1670.jpg

I imported above image to my drawing to reshape the wings:

1671.jpg

And finally I have created this camo:

1672.jpg

The next step is to reshape inlet bumps...

The inlet bumps were too high to let enough airflow to engine compressor. I have decided to make them a bit flat to enlarge inlet area. The below image shows modified and original bumps:

1673.jpg

And here are the top and side views of new and original bump contours:

1674.jpg

1675.jpg

The same modification will be done to starboard side as well...

After reshaping inlet bumps the next step was to build wings from polystyrene sheet. First the templates were created:

1676.jpg

Then glued over 1mm polystyrene sheet. The wing halves were glued together with Revell polystyrol glue:

1685.jpg

Also front bay walls were built and the fuselage halves were glued together:

1693.jpg

1689.jpg

The engine exhausts were repositioned due to aft bay extension:

1688.jpg

Next step is to modify fins...
