In late June 1999 I was one of a party invited into RAF Leuchars during a Combined Qualified Weapons Instructor Course which other than airshows was the first time I had been on the base rather than hanging over the perimeter fence for such an event.     We were given access to the roof of the old control tower for the mass launch and return of the the 'package' before returning to ground level to photograph the aircraft on the main ramp.   Qualified Weapons Instructors are experienced
