Brilliant - Bell 47Js were used both by the Airforce and civilian companies in Norway - even offshore.

Might end up taking the rotor and undercarriage from an Italaeri kit.

Flew in a Bell 47G offshore Africa - I enjoyed the flight more than the rest of the crew.

Ok, I haven't seen a review for this one, and I just got mine, so I'll make a few observations.

It is a short-run kit, but very well done. I would put it above Sword in molding quality (Obviously, don't know how it goes together). The details are fine and as can be seen from the pictures, all the mesh screens are represented by PE, glued from the inside. There will be some minor clean-up needed on the various openings on my example. Care will be needed to separate some of the smaller details parts off the sprue.

You're required to produce three lengths of wire, but that's about it.

I would happily recommend it to anyone with an interest in the type.

An amateurs observation: I would venture a guess that the kit is CAD designed.

If anyone is interested in detail pictures of the sprues, let me know and I'll post them.

Cheers!

p.s. also got the Sikorsky/Westland S-51, I'm very happy with what I got in the box. Also, if you want pics of sprues, holler!

Outstanding! I've wanted a model of the 47J (not 43J) since watching the old "Whirlybirds" TV show as a kid!

Same here. Any idea as of the colors of N2838B?

Crikey! Who would have thought you can build a new tool 1/72 diorama of the Vulcan bomber and Bell from the movie Thunderball in 2020 (ok may be not exact same variants and may be 2021 for Airfix Vulcan ?)

1/72 scale sharks, Bond, Largo and other favourite characters bonus box treat figures anyone?
