Trumpeter 1/48 Thunderbirds F-100D

Recommended Posts

Next up, my attempt at Trumpeter's F-100D. It's a fairly simple kit that didn't take long to put together. The metal finished I struggled with but ended up with Vallejo Steel and Aluminium. The decals fit well but crack and tear easily and it took three sessions to put the decals on.  I used the kit's alternative markings to provide some repair patches. Anyway, here it is.

Decals on a build like that can be an absolute bear to deal with so I commend you on a great build and excellent work on the decals.

Very nice Derek.  Poor decals can sap the enthusiasm for a particular subject and you fought through the problems with great success.  Well done my friend!!!!!

:goodjob:
