MarkSH
Type VII C/41 U-Boat U998 1943 Here is my entry to the currently ongoing 'In the Navy' Group Build; Revell's 1/144 U-Boat. This is my first properly completed Maritime subject and a very enjoyable experience it was too so hopefully it won't be my last. I was quite impressed with this kit, I felt the detail out of the box was very nice. The whole thing went together very well with generally good fit, some of the finer parts were difficult to get off the sprues without damage and indeed some were already broken in situ. At 1/144 it is a decent sized kit, I had pondered getting the equivalent 1/72 version and am glad I didn't, even this one won't fit in the display case. Doing this for a Group Build gave me the opportunity to do something outside of my normal sphere of interest and to really go to town on some weathering. Hope you like: Being a novice in the Maritime genre, (I resisted any 'Sea Legs' references) I welcome comments and observations on the model or any Nautical/Kriegsmarine faux pas. Thanks for looking. Harry Callahan
I really love your VII C, your way of weathering looks realistic. I made same experiences with Revell U-Boats, they are good fitting kits, maybe Revell have a hand for

Booty003
I have just started watching Das Boot on SKY and now have a fascination with U Boats...!!! Your 1/144 is the perfect size for a first build and you have done a superb job of it. I love the sea worn look that it has - even the stand as well...! Nice one buddy.
Gimme Shelter
looks great - and a nice rusty looking base too to match - quite convincing.

GrahamS
I do like submarines (I’d never want to serve on one though) and I do like that. Nice. Graham
