Nathanrobert86
I'm building a Tamiya 1/35th Tiger I. First serious model. Was thinking of trying to simulate some gouges or denting in side skirt (fender?) above track. Was wondering if anyone has any advice. By the way, I don't possess any electric tools. Thanks. PhoenixII
Morning Nathan @Nathanrobert86 take it you mean the small 45+ degree projections that run the length of the tank side? If so, I would suggest you invest in either:- a.) some thin brass shim and make your own, K+S should be available to you in Canada, using the kit parts as templates. b.) have a look at Eduard or other similar after market producers, and buy a set. If you want to use the kit parts, with no electric tools to make your life easier, tape a piece of 'wet n dry' (use it wet) to a large flat tile, or, ideally a piece of plate glass, as you need something that is flat over the bulk of it's surface, and start sanding. As you get closer to the thickness / thinness you want, change the wet n dry to a finer grit, that way you minimise the amount of finishing work you'll have to do. Best of luck, Paul
