RF-4C Phantom 1/72 Hasegawa

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Here is another my model! I made RF-4C from RF-4E. I just changed the wheels, exhaust nozzles and antennas.

As additional sets I used Eduards photo etched, pilot tube from Master, exhaust nozzles and ejection seats from Aires, wheels and FOD from Reskit.

I painted the model with Hataka paint.

Weatering- oil dots, washes and pigments.

Lovely build Dmitry. I built this is 1/48th scale a few years ago from the Hasegawa kit. I live about 10 minutes away from RAF Alconbury, where this was based and spent my younger life watching RF-4C's fly over all day. Really like it a lot.

Beautiful!

I don't hear a lot about Hasegawa's 1/72 kit, so I don't know where it stands among Phantom aficionados.

Your build certainly speaks well of your talents though!

A terrific rendition of 'Starize' one of the most photogenic of Phantoms from the 10th TRW at Alconbury. Excellent work and thanks for sharing.

That looks superb!

You've beaten me to the post as I'm currently working on exactly the same kit & using Starize from the Xtradecal sheet.

I've also got that Hataka paint set for it, so those paint matches look spot on I think. The only bits I haven't thought of getting were the exhausts.

Just wondering what you used for the green tinted front screen?
