I built this a while ago, but never got around to photographing the finished kit, so here is it. It's the old Fujimi 1/72 scale A-6A Intruder. It was built straight from the box using the kits original decals. It went together really nicely with very little filler needed. Back in the 80's Fujimi were my favourite kits. I used Vallejo Model Air paints. Hope you like the pictures.

And for those that are interested here's the link to the build -

I like it. Engine exhaust on the bottom of the horizontal stabs got my attention. Very convincing.

Nicely done, love these era Fujimi kits! I've just ordered some decals so that I can build the A-6E that I've had in the stash for 25 years or so!

Cheers

Very nice A-6 there bud, I recently finished the same kit but used a different scheme.  Good to see another one built.  As mentioned by SAT69 - nice touch with the exhaust staining.

I don't know about you but I found that trying to attach the ordnance to the MER was a right PITA....!!!

Thanks for the compliment. I hate attaching the ordinance to most models. This was extra frustrating though as there's little in the way of locating pins. It's always a pain getting them lined up looking good and not that they've just been thrown on. I've got a Hasegawa Strike Eagle waiting in the stash. I built this in the 80's in the lizard demo colour scheme and loved it. What's putting me off is the thought of the 22 bombs to be fitted 🤯

+1 on that statement!  It's one of my least favorite parts of a model build too. 🙂

Very nice model, but I think you forgot to paint the bare resin nose (just kidding 😁).
