MickE
Hi All I am looking at getting some 1/35 PSP (Marsden matting) for a Vietnam War era diorama. I notice that there are several manufacturers supplying the PSP as flat sheets of PE that you have to bend yourself. Has anyone had experience with forming the plating? How easy is it to get the shape right? Which manufacturer's product do you consider to be the best of the bunch? Cheers Mick
Kingsman
Someone (Passion Models?) offers a bending jig with theirs. I suspect that bending it without a jig is likely to lead only to swearing and throwing things, followed by strong drink! Using a biro or scriber to make the lines is only going to cause the pieces to bend upwards and give you problems flattening them out again. Although period photos do show the stats being bent in use, so it may not be a bad thing. Have fun hooking the slats together!
MickE
Thanks I didn't see the ones that come with a jig that would be handy.
