New Thunderbirds, old style

This is five years old, but I only just found it on the tube. A search here failed to produce another similar post, so maybe everyone else missed it too?

Anyway, If you grew up with the original Thunderbirds, then nothing else will do. And that is exactly what these people were trying to recreate.... Enjoy.

And, what about the secret service? Another Century 21 production, it didn't make it to all of the ITV regions. 

Here's episode 1 which features (among other things) Britannia's and a Spitfire. A gold star if you can identify the former RAF base.

Apparently it was shown on Australian TV in 1972 on Saturday mornings. Don't ever recall seeing this one and it is not on Region 4 DVD.

I'd never heard of that series before (cheers Pete,have to watch the rest that's on YouTube),one thing i noticed though is the acting's a lot better than some recent so called  blockbusters.....

I did read once that when it was known that Patrick Troughton was leaving Doctor Who, Stanley Unwin wrote to the producers suggesting himself for the part, playing it as his comedy persona complete with Unwinese. The producers politely declined.

Didn't recall that series before, seriously bizarre, what a mess as the use of puppets for both sizes of characters mixed with live action etc must have been confusing.

I remember seeing Thundrebirds on a local Chicago(WGN-TV Channel 9) station back in the early 60s. Didn't they also produce Supercar? It was great fun for a kid like me from 6-9 or so. I wish them luck in their new effort.
