Pete in Lincs 15,533
This is five years old, but I only just found it on the tube. A search here failed to produce another similar post, so maybe everyone else missed it too? Anyway, If you grew up with the original Thunderbirds, then nothing else will do. And that is exactly what these people were trying to recreate.... Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eAR-LGk30I 2

GrahamS 639
Blimey, is it really five years since they were released? Time don’t half fly when you’re getting old. Graham
Pete in Lincs 15,533
And, what about the secret service? Another Century 21 production, it didn't make it to all of the ITV regions. Here's episode 1 which features (among other things) Britannia's and a Spitfire. A gold star if you can identify the former RAF base. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRcTFHm8VxM

Don't ever recall seeing this one and it is not on Region 4 DVD. Edited June 9, 2020 by Mick4350

What on Earth was Gerry smoking when he came up with that idea? Graham

Truro Model Builder 5,399
I did read once that when it was known that Patrick Troughton was leaving Doctor Who, Stanley Unwin wrote to the producers suggesting himself for the part, playing it as his comedy persona complete with Unwinese. The producers politely declined.
Mr T 4,354
Didn't recall that series before, seriously bizarre, what a mess as the use of puppets for both sizes of characters mixed with live action etc must have been confusing.
JPuente54 367
I remember seeing Thundrebirds on a local Chicago(WGN-TV Channel 9) station back in the early 60s. Didn't they also produce Supercar? It was great fun for a kid like me from 6-9 or so. I wish them luck in their new effort.
