SAAB Viggen

Recommended Posts

Tarangus SAAB Viggen 1/48th scale.

I added a resin seat from Pavla, which was too wide & deep!

Turned brass pitots from Master and I used a mask set from Maestro Models to achieve the camouflage pattern which was painted with Humbrol enamels & Tamiya acrylics.

The mask set drove me right round the bend & back!

I really struggled to figure out how to get the pieces in the right place.

Kit went together well, nicely engineered with lovely detail.

Great Viggen. That camo is so definitive with the Viggen that no other Swedish aircraft carries it better. I remember having seen a Draken and Gripen with it, but no, Viggen is the one :) And you have done justice to that great scheme!

Looks  great,in my mind if your going to build a Viggen, its got to be done in the splinter camo. Which is why mines still in the loft, I haven't plucked up the courage to try the camo yet. That looks well worth the effort, very well done

Absolutely brilliant. A dry run for a 1/32 scale?
