Dereknf
Another long-term stash lurker and a surprisingly easy kit to make. No cockpit, no decals, all parts painted before assembly and then stick together. Rigged with elastic thread. Such an important aircraft is poorly served by the modelling world. Only this kit and the expensive Hasegawa 1/16 scale kit seem to be around. Surely a modern 1/32 or 1/24 scale kit is long overdue? 20200606_002255 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr 20200606_002251 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr 20200606_002244 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr 20200606_002236 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr 20200606_002220 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr 20200606_002212 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr
stevej60
Love it! Great work on a kit most would run a hundred miles from Derek!
Andy Dyck
Hi, very cool ! I even don’t remember this kit. I am getting old. Cheers Andy
SAT69
That's an excellent build. I remember the kit from m-a-n-y years ago and avoiding it because I thought it would be a difficult kit to build. Now, so many years later I learn that wasn't true. Silly me!
Harold55
You have done a great job and I could not agree with you more that there should be a model of this in a standard scale. I would do a 1/48 version and I am sure with all the 1/32 out there that would be a great choice in scale also.
dnl42
Well done! Bravo! This subject is poorly served! There is a Tonka 1/48 version that can sometimes be found; no clue on quality. AIM has a 1/72 PE version in their Historic Wings series.
Gary Brantley
Very cool! 😎 And very well done too. Like many, I've picked it up from store shelves and looked it over, thought about it, and then put it back. That's probably due to my OCD and that the kit's odd scale doesn't fit in my chosen 1/48 scale scheme. Wouldn't one look great posed with "The Spirit of St. Louis"? bigbadbadge
Great work this looks wonderful. I was lucky enough to pick up one at a model railway exhibition in February along with a 1/28 Revell Camel for £1 each which was s great bargain. May have to look at mine soon. Thanks for sharing All the best Chris
