Looking used but appropriate I think, these weren’t the cleanest aircraft ...

Good that you finished this one and looking good😎I love this scheme on a brick👍👍👍

Excellent! I saw a Gulf War Buccaneer at RIAT in 1991 and had a chance to get reasonably close. You've captured the look perfectly. I have several Xtradecal Gulf War sets but I still haven't got around to building any. You've certainly started me thinking and will need to have a dig through the stash.

Cheers

That is beautifully made! I know all about the foibles of this kit, and you've hidden every join line and ill-fitting jetpipe, etc to perfection. Outstanding modelling skill.

I still prefer green/grey camo, but as a model this is fantastic. Very, very well done.

Absolutely beautiful.  Your attention to detail and realism is superb.  I like the photography as much as the subject too!!! :goodjob:

Brilliant!  There was life in the old girl yet, and you've shown that very well.

I'm in awe of you experienced model builders and just how good the results you get are.

Thanks Dave. There are some great Gulf War decals available for this kit - the ones supplied were a little bland but did the job...

Thank you! It was a bit of a dog to build, if you look closely some of the seems are still visible - I’ll try harder next time!  I nearly went for the green/grey camo but decided that the desert sand (pink?) would make a more interesting version of the model. Plus this scheme needed less masking...! 😂

Thank you! I prefer my aircraft without any ordnance, I think they look better without it!

Now time for Airfix to upscale the 72 scale kit! Great job, looks fantastic

Thank you! If Airfix update this as a new tool I would definitely be buying - hopefully their design team will deliver soon!

Good job, nicely weathered.

Thank you! Hopefully not too OTT - some airframes we’re pretty grubby...

Cheers Mike. The photography was done on a reflective table, backlit by large windows and with a flash to illuminate the model. I’m still experimenting with the setup, but was happy with these shots.

Thanks Jack. I’m not actually that experienced - I’ve been modelling for years at a fairly basic level but have only started to up my game in the last twelve months after reading posts on here by the real experts and picking up tips and techniques from them.👍

Wow great work and cracking finish. A lovely Buccaneer.

Thank you! Just hoping Airfix bring this one out as a new tool sometime - that would fly off the shelves...

Great model and lovely weathering. I like the mirror mount to show off the underside.

Well done,

Thanks Justin. The mirror is just a very reflective table - perfect for RFI photos!
