egamez
Hi, I just finished this 1/72 Airfix Hawk T.1. I used Eduard photo-etched and CMK resin parts. Tamiya paints and Future were used for the finish. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

I assume that's Tamiya X1 gloss black. Goes on really nicely, good combination with Future clear. Martin

egamez
@Lightningboy2000 It is actually Tamiya XF-1 (matte finish). After painting the model with XF-1, I sanded the paint with a 3000 grit sandpaper. Then, I used Tamiya's polishing paste (Medium and Finish) and then I applied Future. Then, polish the clear coat with 3000 grit sandpaper again and apply the finishing. Use wax for final finish.

TheyJammedKenny!
Superb! What did you do to create the nose landing light? Employ the kit's part?
Sky Keg
I like it. I know that it is not an easy kit to put together. Mike

egamez
@TheyJammedKenny! I lost the clear part for the nose headlamp. I made a new one using Elmer's white glue. I think "Kristal Clear" glue may have worked better. Edited June 6, 2020 by egamez
