1/72 Airfix BAE Hawk T.1

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just finished this 1/72 Airfix Hawk T.1. I used Eduard photo-etched and CMK resin parts. Tamiya paints and Future were used for the finish.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Thank you for your comments.

@binbrook87  I sprayed the future. I applied 4 coats of it.

That looks superb! I assume that's Tamiya X1 gloss black. Goes on really nicely, good combination with Future clear.

@Lightningboy2000           It is actually Tamiya XF-1 (matte finish). After painting the model with XF-1, I sanded the paint with a 3000 grit sandpaper. Then, I used Tamiya's polishing paste (Medium and Finish) and then I applied Future. Then, polish the clear coat with 3000 grit sandpaper again and apply the finishing. Use wax for final finish.

@TheyJammedKenny!    I lost the clear part for the nose headlamp. I made a new one using Elmer's white glue. I think "Kristal Clear" glue may have worked better.
