The buckle didn't snap off, thanks goodness, so when the touch up is dry I'll take some RFI shots and post a link here.

Can you see the tiny PE handle on the outside?

Can you see the tiny 'leather' strap that was requested (0.4mm Aizu painted) on the inside?

No?

Yes, I can see them and my eyes are rubbish now!

Lovely little aeroplane Ced!

Thanks Keith! :)

In the RFI now:

I think, in retrospect and with TT's warning, I should have closed the door and hung her from the ceiling but, as requested, she's in with the tiny choppers (fnaar!):

As always, thanks to everyone for their help, support and companionship during this build- really appreciated :)

In case you missed the link to the next one, here it is:

Aww, thanks Cookie, that's just what I needed!

Looking at the close ups I can see every little flaw and problem - dust under the paint, grainy Hu24, poor demarcation on the leading edge… I was a bit disheartened and glad it was finished but you've cheered me up - thanks matey! :D

I am pleased with the landing lights and aerial though

must resist suggestions from better modellers than me though.

"Open the door and show off the internals" they said.

"Ooh, look at that tassle" they said.

I must resist…

Thanks also to @John Aero for all his reference material - really appreciated John.

Excellent build Ced and as others have noted, some really nice paint work.

Superb Ced nice paintwork and attention to detail a result to be proud of!

  Stay safe                   Roger

Thanks Dennis, Giorgio, John and Roger, very kind of you :)

Weird isn't it - you start a nice kit and then, for some reason, it becomes a bit of a chore as little irritating things build up… all my own fault of course (even, perhaps, the canopy).

Perhaps I should build another, one day…

That does look effective - nice tip. I wish I'd seen it before I did this:

Sorry Ced, I actually spat tea that time. Your threads do make me chuckle sometimes. Reminds me of my own hapless endeavours. The lights turned out beautifully however.

Great stuff, a pleasure as always.
