peekay
I built this one 35 years ago and it was my first success with airbrushing automotive 2-stage paint (Sikkens). Also my first use of sanding cloths (Micromesh) and abrasive polishing cream (Novus 2). Colours were all guess-work but I think I had a magazine photo of the engine bay for reference. The body had absolutely no molded scripts or badges anywhere and no decals so the rear panel looks pretty bare. The car would have stood way too high OOB so I lowered it - perhaps a tad too much.
johnlambert
Nice work, the ride height looks spot-on to me and I think BMW offered (probably still does) badge delete as an option so the lack of badges on the boot might not be completely incorrect.
Chimpion
That is quite simply phenomenal! Amazing paint finish all-round, chrome trim spot-on. Well done!

gt6mkiii
Very Nice! 35 years speaks to the durablilty of that paint but also your skill in storage/display to have it look that good after so long.
Spiny
ANother excellent job, even more so if it was your first airbrush project. As said above, it's aged incredibly well and certainly doesn't look as though it's been around for 35 years.
Ben Brown
Nice! I think the ride height is just right. Ben

It wasn't my first airbrush project, just the first time I had success with it. 😉
Anteater
That's beautiful and the colour scheme is very period. The paintjob is superb. Hard to believe it's 35 years old, it looks like you just finished it this afternoon.
