JagRigger
OK - yes I should have gone for a Whirlybird one, and that's still an option, but this was in the stash so...…………. I'm only an average modeller, so don't expect any masterclass ! Intend using the 'old' Airfix Sea King head so some bits of that cut into top. Rivets going as they are far too obvious and it'll sit in a row of smooth new Airfix Sea Kings anyway Bit of internal work - door will be open so.... Airfix-esque scribing Getting there

JagRigger
Bit more progress - masking off. Side windows didn't come out well so removed for polishing, and the port fwd was enlarged as realized it IS bigger Edited June 7, 2020 by JagRigger

perdu
Putting the bigger/better upper housing on was a stroke of genius. Really has the 'look' right.
JagRigger
Been a bit busy to do much lately - added a few decals, These are a mix of ( mostly ) homemade and a small sheet I got of the internet Edited June 18, 2020 by JagRigger
Romeo Alpha Yankee
I am currently building a HH-3E as a USAF SAR bird. You have done a lot of work to this kit to get it this far. Nice work. I have another to do as a Coast Guard Pelican, I have the fortune of having a resin conversion set and decals for mine.
jean
Hi JagRigger, your build is fantastic! I never thought you'd get that result, having seen what you started with. I love the way you casually state that you are removing the windows to polish them... That gave me the shivers to think such a thought may ever cross my mind! Not a chance! Will be watching the end of the thread! Well done. JR ,
JagRigger
OK - been away for a while, so back doing a bit. I've refitted the winch that I made and knocked off earlier, and made a bifilar for the rotor hub. Don't think I've ever seen one in a kit - this is a bit of the Revell hub and sprue on the Airfix rotor set Edited August 12, 2020 by JagRigger
JagRigger
She's been a bit neglected with work on my Mojave, but almost there now. Just pitots, hoist hook and a few final details to add And a comparison shot
