That's beautiful work. My only issue is the natural metal finish makes the rivets too prominent but that's a kit issue, not a builder's issue. I love it!

Fuad, I don't know why I look at your builds because when I do, I always come away depressed when I realize how meager my modeling skills are compared to yours😢!  But I can't resist the temptation at seeing your excellent work and great photography.

Did you 'putty' the wings?  I believe Eduard did to a degree, but I haven't looked closely at my kit to see what extent.

As always, outstanding work on your part and, in reality, and inspiration for me.

Cheers,

Mark

Another beaut, Fuad! I really liked the chromate/bare metal structure in the wheel bays- bet that was fun to mask! Question- are those flaps deployed at too steep an angle? IIRC, from the pilot's manual, the flaps could be set in 10-degree increments from 0 to 50 degrees, with the setting displayed by means of black/white bars painted on the leading edge of the LH flap  and visible from the cockpit. Not to take anything away from this incredible build, but to help make it even better, as you have always shown your work to be of museum quality. (BTW- hoping you and yours are OK in the middle of this pandemic madness!)

For you and any others interested in Mustang trivia, see the link below to a website that has factory diagrams-photos-text on all P-51D Mustang systems and structures; it is an outstanding modelers reference! (Now you need a bare metal P-47D/N and a P-38J to go with this one!)

Yes, I completely puttyed the wing, leaving only the weapon panels. For some reason "Eduard" did not. They only removed the riveting on the wing, but left all the joints of the panels.
And yet - pay attention to the photos of the prototype "Chattanooga". The stripes on the nose of the aircraft are the same on them, but Eduard made them uneven. I took the decal and made a mistake .

Thank you for being interested in effects of the pandemic. Thank God, me and my family are alright.
As for the flap deflection, it is impossible to do otherwise in the model, otherwise you need to redo something yourself.

Thanks for the heads-up about the kit flap deflection, Fuad- I will certainly want to address that! I'm also a fan of the 20th FG Mustangs, especially as a beautifully restored ex-Guatemalan AF P-51D is based here where I live as 20th FG ace and fellow Texan Jack Ilfrey's  Happy Jack's Go Buggy! See the links to a recent photo and her history. Last link is to  a good profile photo that shows the 50-degree flap deflection, via Flickr.
