Vulcan B2MRR

Recommended Posts

Two things:

Nine Vulcan B2s were converted to the B2MRR variant, I only know eight of them. Anyone know the last one? So far I have XH534, XH537, XH558, XH560, XH563, XJ780, XJ823 and XJ825.

And does anyone know if anyone has ever produced aftermarket parts for the pods carried under the wings by some B2MRRs

XJ782.  Source: The Vulcan B.Mk.2 From A Different Angle, p.132 (Craig Bulman, Vulcan To The Sky Trust, 2013).  A book no Vulcan enthusiast can afford to be without: astonishing degree of detail on changes, major and minor, to configuration, colour schemes and markings.  Lots of photos, many in colour, with captions that give dates and locations, often down to flightpan numbers.  If you buy only one book on the Vulcan B.2, do yourself a favour and make it this one!

The pods were Sea Vixen fuel tanks with the sniffer nose from the Victor SR grafted on the front. I Used Cyder hobby tanks with nose from the Airfix Victor SR.& Vixen hard points.
