1/48 Hasegawa Phantom FGR.2 29 Squadron

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Many moons ago I promised @29Triplex a Phantom from his old Squadron.  It is my goal to have built one from each eventually.  Well here she is.

XV399.  Revell re-box of the Hasegawa kit, Xtradecal markings, Aires wheels, Eduard cockpit. Top Notch masks.

I used Hataka paints for the camo, Halfords Racking Grey for the underside.  Flory washes and Mig Oil Brusher starship filth.  Any other staining and weathering was from a selection of cheap boots eye shadows.

Enjoy.

Very impressive looking model and I especially like the way you completed the cockpit.

Thanks, It is missing rear view mirrors, which I may address as it is noticeable that they are missing with the canopies open.  Can be fixed though.

A Phantastic Phantom to complete your trio tribute to 29(F) 'XXX'

:ditto:(Lord Riots comment) You could do with a Lightning F3, and another FGR2 (Grey Ghost)  to make your collection perfect.

This Phantom has been a long time in the making, but well worth the wait! Thanks :worthy: 👍
