Masterbox "Tankmen of WW1" colours - Somewhat confused with the French uniforms

Hi all,

 

As per the title, I'm currently working on this figure set to accessorise my WW1 tank collection.

 

Just discovered some differences between the painting instructions on the back and the illustration on the front of the box - Specifically for the French tank commander...

 

The colour scheme on the back is for a variety of Khaki and Browns yet the painting on the front shows blue - A quick online search seems to indicate that there are more blue uniforms than Khaki on French tankers so I'm hoping that the BM hive mind can give me suggestions as to what paint colours would be suitable?

 

Thought the question would be better placed here than in the rather unfrequented WW1 armour section.
