CF-104 Starfighter, Royal Norwegian Air Force, 334sq

 

Kit: Hasegawa F-104J/CF-104 Starfighter (#D16)

Scale: 1/72

Aftermarket: Master pitot, Eduard photoetch, Reskit wheels, Vingtor decals

Paints: Vallejo Model Color, Model Air & Metal Color

Weathering: Flory Models Wash, Mig weathering Products

 

Good kit, a solid choice for 1:72 Starfighter. Early 80's was the last years of the Norwergian Starfighters - conversion to F-16 was already happening. Scratchbuilt display base.

 

Built for Nordic GB.

A magnificent Starfighter and love the base and take off pose. That colour scheme really suited the 104. Thanks for sharing, it's a delight!

Well thought out and beautifully executed display. It's rare, or so it seems to me, that you see a model showing the landing gear retraction in mid sequence. That adds a lot to your model.

Fantastic work!  I love the way you depicted the gear cycling into the fuselage!  The color scheme is brilliant, too.  I had no idea that Norway's were in an overall green-over-gray scheme.  Where did you get the pilot figure?

Thanks! 334 squaqron used green over gray scheme. Can't remember whether they were originally silver too, like the 331  Squadron.

 

Pilot is from Airfix kit. (Skyhawk or Buccaneer).
