Alpha Delta 210
Hi I've been trawling through my digital images, which is definitely not as much fun as looking through an album! I participated in a Friends of Duxford tour of RAF Mildenhall in November 2009, and thought that these might be of interest. "No one kicks a** without tanker gas" The boom operator's position The image quality is not very good, but I hope you enjoyed them. Thanks for looking. 16
Parabat
Excellent pics, never thought there would be so much empty space in a tanker. Nice to see the boom operators position.

I was also surprised by the space, especially after seeing inside the Brooklands Museum VC10 K.3 at Dunsfold Park. 1 hour ago, Paul Bradley said: Very cool! Thanks Paul. Glad you liked them. The USAF personnel were excellent hosts (maybe not the dogs!)
Paul Bradley
I'm sure if you'd had some kibble in your pocket, they'd have been friendly enough...! 🤣

A very good collection of images, I've been lucky enough to attend a similar event some years ago and can confirm that the base personnel go out of their way to make their guests welcome.
canberraman
Another excellent selection from the archives of my local airfield! Nice to see the old school MC-130P, the new Js' just don't sound as good! That SFS dog looks a bit of a handful too! Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his bite! Mark
