Stefanoff
This my latest finished model, Airfix's Jet Provost. The build is straight from the box, nothing added or changed. Just some screws and the position lights on the wingtips. I made new lights. The kit is quite good, only exception are the decals. The orange ones are very rigid and it is hard to bend over the wing edges and other parts. They crack very easy and need looooot of patience to be placed and fixed. I choosed this variant because of the vibrant orange stripes For future I plan to build the other, white-red version of this cutie. It is very beutifull as well. The pictures are not very good. The model have very smooth satin finish which is not visible on the pictures. Hope you like it! ____________________________________________________ Work in progress: Yakovlev AIR-3 1/32 scratchbuild Edited May 18, 2020 by Stefanoff
binbrook87
That is really excellent! Well done for overcoming the problems with the dayglo wing decals. Having built this kit myself i know how difficult they are! Great result from one of the best Airfix kits of recent times 👍

Paul Alan Bardell
Great looking Provost. I have somewhere in the house a photo of me and my younger sister, taken at RAF Gaydon at their BOB air display approx 1967/68 sitting in the cockpit of a Provost in the same trainer markings. A great day, but very wet and cold all day.

alex
Fully agree, nice kit, awful orange decals. Yours turned out very nicely, I like the weathering, just a bit to be noticed, but not overdone. Alex

kapam
Well, that certainly raises the bar a few more notches! If I could get build quality that stands the test of close-up photos like this, I'd be thinking I've made it as a modeller! Brilliant! 😮
