If you look at the centre of the photo below, you can see a water channel. That is The Snye. That is the same channel that CF-ARI is sitting in. The exact location is behind the left-hand apartment building. This photo was taken about 150 feet from where I am sitting right now, in my living room. Chris Cool indeed, Chris!
fjaweijfopi4j48
All that can be done has been done. The step is in, I added control horns and rigging to the rudder, the little hatch on the nose is on, the exhaust was glued, the prop has been pushed in. I can't put the Venturi mast yet until I have applied the decals, which may take a little while to arrive due to the PO delays. I am leaving the windscreens off for the same reason for the moment. So to the box it goes for now until they do:
dogsbody
The F.13 is really looking great. That colour scheme is definitely an eye-catcher. That little stretch of water shown in that photo above has seen a lot of northern aviation history When you get to the W.34, I have some photos I can scan from this booklet. CF-ARI was the W.34 used by Wop May. Chris 1

I enjoyed sitting along side and watching how nicely this came together..... I see that the thought of the Canadian Junkers W-33 (on skis) posted above here doesn't warm the cockles of your heart. Canadian F.13s G-CADQ and G-CADP tempted me, I must confess. There used to be an Imperial Oil decal set for them, but no more. I think (I may be wrong) that photos of them show an earlier, slightly shorter span wing, thus the kit wing will need modification. The kit's vertical stabilizer needs modification too, being not the triangle shown in some models, but an angled one. Other Canadian F.13s belong to later types, having different tail groups, and one almost insoluble obstacle: the fuselages were longer. Add to that the fact that they invariably had that drab, uninspiring color scheme of black and metal, and motivation as a result of all that is not high enough. But... may be you could do one? It's a nice little kit at an affordable price. Cheers
Biggu
Oh yes , the ski version does warm my heart, I just think that with your amazing talents, you could and would knock it out of the park, and yes I thought I could do the float version , but no where near to the level of your skills..... you really did a fabulous job on this and yes, I also totally agree that there was no colors to some of them up here, more utilitarian I guess eh?

fjaweijfopi4j48
Yeepee! the other envelope with decals arrived! The world post offices have proved Eisenstein theory of relativity! The envelope send 75 days ago arrived almost at the same time as the one sent about two weeks ago! Nobel price for the Post Offices! A future endeavor: Now I will be able to complete several projects!

fjaweijfopi4j48
Well, the second box (on the left) with the additional building for the Junkers airfield also arrived. Two months after buying it. I won't be completed at the same time as the model, but hopefully sooner rather than later:

So, Moa, you’re saying Mika’s decals for my Electra will arrive either two weeks, or two months, from now? Hope it’s weeks, not months. Else, I’ll have to start yet another build to fill the gap. Fortunately, I’ve already selected what it will be — and it’s a kit you’ve spoken of very highly.

But, you build at light speed (which is perhaps why relativity is involved).
