GMK
The resin printer is fantastic for adding details! Redid the rear light clusters & mud guards, adding reflectors, blackouts, fastex clips, bolts, & power outlet.
GMK
Used the excuse of see how the non-skid would turn out to do a paint test using the SMS camouflage colours. Got a little >< carried away. Detail close up.
vytautas
I am really enjoying following your thread. It’s just hard to believe it’s all done from scratch. Beautiful work 👍 1

It’s just hard to believe it’s all done from scratch. Beautiful work 👍 Thanks @vytautas - CAD makes this more a “design & print your own model”. Certainly a lot of work, and you can’t blame a manufacturer for bad design! Interior painting has commenced, once again using SMS paints & custom decals for the seat cushions. Not a lot will be seen, so there’s not much more to do before it’s completed. Seat backs will be aligned & glued prior to sealing up the hull. Need to repaint the interior of the air sentry hatches as they’re also insulated. Should be able to finish the interior by the end of the weekend.

This’ll definitely be a three footer! The arrival of SMS paint’s CARC sand allowed another series of quick wins on the “how will it look” phase. So, the DUKE ECM antennas & mounts, plus the EOS R-400 remote (protected) weapon station & screen (on the dash) got an initial coat. Then it was the turn of the satcom x-wing antenna & the base & bracket for the blue force tracker (or MT2011, as it’s known formally).
GMK
Sealed the upper & lower hull. Blocked out the RHS camouflage. Starting to look more like a Bushmaster
GMK
Painted up the LHS and took some pics against a higher-contrast background. RHS v.2. Now with rat (if you’re Iraqi) or roo (if you’re not).
GMK
Installed & painted the suspension. I had printed new, one-piece versions on the resin printer, but wasn’t happy trusting the interface between the hull and the transmission to CA. Front: Rear: Overall profile views with the wheels dry fitted, showing how little of the suspension is visible!

GMK
Finished the weekend with a quick test fit of the truck in the display cabinet. Will be a tight fit, height-wise, but will squeeze in.
