Truro Model Builder
I'm sorting out a lot of my digital photography ('tis a long process) and am currently editing shots from an organised aviation trip I undertook to Israel in 2008. We took in a number of open days, the IAF Museum, the Latrun armour museum and a base tour at Ramon. Here are a few from the line up on the first day, when we visited Tel Nof (and if the trip had ended there it would have been worth it). 102 McDonnell Douglas Ayit M by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 271 McDonnell Douglas F-15I Ra'am by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 401 Lockheed Martin F-16I Sufa by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 651 Bell Tzefa F by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 674 IAI Tzukit by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 681 McDonnell Douglas F-15A Baz by Martin Schofield, on Flickr 914 Sikorsky Yas'ur 2000 by Martin Schofield, on Flickr Hope you like. I'll put some up from the other events as I sort them. 20

Truro Model Builder
Ian Allan Aviation Tours. It was superbly organised, with a local aviation writer whose links with the IDF meant that we had quite superb access. On our visit to Ramon we were all standing near the control tower watching and photographing F-16Is on their normal ops, looking at each other and asking if it was really happening. canberraman
Lovely clear shots under gorgeous blue skies, and as for access, I just can't imagine anything like that now! Thanks for posting. Mark
Alpha Delta 210
Interesting line-up and not a cone, rope, ice cream van, toilet or Ferris wheel in sight! Thanks for sharing.

Truro Model Builder
It was indeed. A touch pompous, but a nice guy all round.

I was introduced to him at the Tiger Meet in Cambrai in 2011 and as it was a brief meeting I didn't talk with him that much but he showed me some of his shots of the participants on his camera. Many of them were superb but I was very heartened to see that he, as a professional, also missed noses, tails, wings etc and I thought then that if he could screw up his shots then there was hope for me too! If memory serves me right he was a colonel in the air force reserves. 1

For be Abcd midels were all BAZ... I've seen a couple of references to Akef for the F-15C. I was surprised too as I thought they were all referred to as Baz. I'm assuming it relates to the C and D. Israeli names for aircraft are a minefield -and let's not even start on English spellings for Hebrew words.
