Hunter Rose
Cheers Pete! Yeah admittedly at first I thought they might be too big but really like them now they're on, some serious weaponry!

Hunter Rose
Thanks Brian! Got some more shed time so got the rockets in now the paint is dry, with a little persuasion and moderate language IMG_20200816_102801 by Nick Frost, on Flickr IMG_20200816_103101 by Nick Frost, on Flickr And I also finished off the bags for the shins, gave them a matte coat and brushed on some enamels, then glued them in place IMG_20200820_184938 by Nick Frost, on Flickr IMG_20200820_185307 by Nick Frost, on Flickr IMG_20200820_185318 by Nick Frost, on Flickr Really pleased with how they look! Next up I'll make a start on some stowage for his back, still a bit torn between a back pack with bits or or doing an engine with a lot of pipes and greeblies. Hmmm, we'll see. Thanks for looking, more soon
exidor
I find it very hard to resist an engine full of pipes and greeblies but as a battlefield choice it seems a bit of a risk to have it exposed.
Hunter Rose
Yeah I love an engine and I'm now actually thinking of both, an engine with a storage basket or something
Hunter Rose
Right! So I went just an engine for the back and took a pretty MAJOR short cut. I have an old Gans 1/20 scale diorama laying in a sorry state of disrepair in my shed from a sci fi group build way back https://flic.kr/s/aHskZFTHds So basically I never throw any models that get damaged as sometimes the bits come in handy as in this case, I took the engine and some armor panelling from it. IMG_20200828_185026 by Nick Frost, on Flickr And from that I cut down the connector bit from the flange so it would sit flat against the mechs back, and cut the back of the seperate engine bit off so I could then glue it to the engine as an extra detail, which meant I also cut off the red protector bar bit. IMG_20200828_185328 by Nick Frost, on Flickr IMG_20200828_185835 by Nick Frost, on Flickr An exposed engine wouldn't be good on the battlefield so I flipped round the large armour panel and glue it onto the back, also worth noting I flipped the engine sideways too compared to how it looks on the Gans as the rocket tubes were in the way. Also it gives it a cool asymetrical look that I really like. IMG_20200828_190057 by Nick Frost, on Flickr Then our friend super glue got that fixed in place. IMG_20200829_103238 by Nick Frost, on Flickr So thanks to those reused cool details he's not far off done. Next up I'm going to add some detail to his hips, like some jerry cans or something. I'm not going to do a base for him I've decided as I want this to just be a free standing figure in my display cabinet. Thanks for looking, more soon
Will Vale
Awesome surfaces on this, the blue looks fantastic against the warm rust, and that glint on the edge of the claw shield is totally convincing. The new engine is a great way to link the Gundam-ness with the Ma.K world, and confirm the scale at the same time. Will
