P-47D - Academy 1/72

Recommended Posts

I just finished my 18-22th COVID modells. All from Academy OOB some with Tamiya wheels, 2 with rims from Tamiya on Academy wheels.
I shortened wheel legs by 2mm, but I still don't think it is enough. I also replaced the propeller with those of the Tamiya models. Kits World decals, very good print quality, with substantive content such as "The Down Necker" much worse. The manual says bubbletop P-47 but it's Razorback.

A really nice collection of jugs! And nice planes too! 😁 (sorry...)

In all seriousness though, very well executed builds, love the clean metal finish, colourful marking choices and perfect decal fitting.

Very nice Thunderbolts indeed, Jerzy! What paint did you use for the natural metal finish?

Wow, they're fantastic! If you'd not put the scale on I'd thought they were 1:48 or larger. I've got a fair few Thunderbolts in the stash, makes me want to dig them out.

Wow, beautiful builds!

I have an Academy kit in my stash with the "Eight Nifties" decals and if it was anywhere near as good as your build, I'd be a happy modeller.😜

Top notch work!

:goodjob::thumbsup::clap2:
