Rabbit Leader
It's not that I wanna play GB host again anytime soon, however I was just thinking... have we ever had a Douglas / McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company Group build? Example aircraft that seem to roll off the tongue are - the DC series of airliners, Boston / Havoc, Invader, Skyhawk, B-66 / Skywarrior, Devastator, Dauntless, Skyraider, Phantom, Hornet.. etc. Anyway.. just putting it out there. zebra
Count me in! Douglas/McDonnell Douglas were responsible for some very interesting aircraft and about 15% of my stash.
desert falcon
There are already so many interesting future GB's that it would be impossible for me to join them all, but a Douglas GB would be very nice and I'm interested please. So many interesting subjects to choose from. Cheers Johnny b
malpaso
Good idea. Though your suggestions are a bit mainstream. How about the Dolphin, World Cruiser or PD-1?
theplasticsurgeon
A great call, count on my support. 2 Douglas subjects, Skyray and Skywarrior, and 10 McD in the stash, Phantoms, Eagles, Super Hornets, AV-8Bs.
vppelt68
Would I sign in on this although my own Boeing proposal is on the ropes and hardly makes it? You bet I would, so add my name to the list, please

There’s as many great Boeing subjects as Douglas ones so I reckon both manufacturers will have a good chance and be popular choices. Cheers.. Graeme H
With a huge line up of Civil stuff from DC2 - DC10 why the hell not then there are Phantoms
dnl42
Sign me up!! Douglas is the 3rd-most common manufacturer in my stash; it's 2nd including MacDac. Way behind Grumman, of course...

Sorry chaps, Cessna are responsible for the Bird Dog however as Ray correctly points out, we shouldn’t forget Douglas’ long serving Spad! We’re getting on a bit of a roll here.. anyone else keen to join? Cheers.. Dave

helios16v
I'd likely be game. Give me an excuse to build one of the too many Phantoms in the stash.
Rabbit Leader
Good going chaps, it’s not been 24 hours since I posted this proposal and we are already 50% there! Funnily enough, I seem to have amassed four DC-3 kits, but the problem is I still have decals and plans for quite a few more! Cheers.. vppelt68
Excellent excuse to postpone my MPM Douglas A-20B Havoc / Boston III (plastic for both included) build from the MTO GB - clears that space for the new Airfix Beaufort

Well, here´s my backup plan against that grim possibility! MPM kit actually has quite sweet American decal options but I have that MAV decals SAAF set too
