Good evening

For my 3rd build in this GB Il will build the Fujimi Spitfire XIV that I will try to build in the markings of the aircraft flown by the F/O Jacques Andrieux https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Andrieux  .

I will try to use a Aires set to improve the cockpit ..

That's looking great Patrice.

I've never built the Fujimi kit, looks a little complicated.

Good morning Cookie

Thank you for your comment , in fact the Fujimi kit has a very basic cockpit and I tried to  improve it with the Aires set ..

The 2 main fuselage parts are designed to build either a High Back or a LowBack aircraft with the addition of  a specific part for each version and the fit is not great maybe it is me but I had to use some filler ...

We really need a new Spit Mk XIV in 1/72 scale because the other options namely Academy , AZ Model and Sword all have more or less serious faults and  I  hope that Airfix will soon downscale it's 1/48 kit ..

Best Regards

Patrice

That really did take shape nicely Patrice, everso nicely in fact. There is something about the muscular lines of the XIV that just look so right to my eye & this catches that so well. :)

Steve.
