mathy
Hi all, some pics of my latest KH Model. The F-86K in 1:32 with markings of JG 74 the only unit of the German Air Force equipped with this nice interceptor. There are some issues like the missing air intakes both sides of the fuselage and with the placing of the decals, but nevertheless all in all it is a good kit. Used some Eduard PE and RBF. The intake-cover is selfe made. 59

72modeler
An incredible build! By far the nicest F-86K I have seen in any scale. Perfect paint and understated weathering- looks real! Well done! Mike

Sabrejet
Really nice! Just to be correct however, JG74 was not the only Luftwaffe unit to operate the F-86K: it was also flown by JG75 (JE-codes) and WS.10 (BB-codes).

But JG 74 was the only active interceptor unit. Germany planed to established 5 interceptor units: JG 71 - JG 75. Later the units were reduced to 4, so JG 75 never went into active service and their F-86K were transfered to new formed JG 74 based at Neuburg/Donau in Bavaria. By the way, the Luftwaffe F-86K do not used the sidewinder, just the 4 guns.
SAT69
Outstanding cockpit and an exceptional build. Your paint work is absolutely wonderful. Were there any difficulties at all with the basic kit?
mathy
It is a typical KH kit wird some fit problems. Many of the parts you have to press together very hard. But with some experience it is good to build
