Looks good, but all the pictures are missing (apart from the last post) - any chance you could reinstate them?

Yes, I saw that the previous photos disappear and I don't know why this happens.
I upload them directly from my Facebook album.
I will try to find time and upload them again.

From what I can understand, Facebook will delete the links after a few weeks.

Better to use a separate image host such as imgbb if you want the pictures to be permanent.

The boats are mounted, so I start with the masts because I must pinpoint the dead eyes later.
In the meantime, I made a cell with a code name - "No more dust!

The hammock racks are ready. The nets become quite slow - half are ready.
They are about to be filled with hammocks :)

Holy Crap! I am away for a while ( springtime in the sports car buisness) and see what happens?? I had better get the printer up and running so I can capture this for later. Those boats are AWESOME. Will have to do mine likewise. The hammock netting and cradles have come out great. What/where did you get the netting? it looks just right for scale. I have the full Dafi sets, so the PE frames are sorted and it also includes netting, but to be honest I have not looked closely at that yet, and knowing Daniel is a stickler for accuracy it will be right. Filling the masts with wood dowels is a great idea that I will steal with your permission. ( can you do that? lol) Anyway, this is a really educational build, thank you. Refards, Pete in RI

Of course you have my permission for the masts, as well as for everything else. If I had any secrets, I wouldn't show the whole construction process.
The net that I use for hammocks is called tulle". Look in flower shops or gift wrapping shops. They have different colors - look for one that is suitable for the scale.

greetings!

Interesting. I was under the impression that hammocks had to be tightly rolled, so they would fit through a hoop, any failing being thrown back at the sailor with an instruction to do it again.

Yours appear to be folded.

Was this common on a lot of ships, or just Victory?

This way of storing hammocks, I think I saw in Historical ship models a long time ago.
The hammock is rolled up, then folded in half and placed on boards.
This saves space in the hold, protects against shrapnel and prevents the abordage hooks from attaching.

The hammocks are ready and installed in the nets.
I also made the famous buckets - 21 pieces.
They are full of sand :)
Buckets can get better, but on this scale I can't do better ...

Wow!

I thought we'd seen it all when it came to exquisite detail on this build, but it just keeps getting better!

Absolutely beautiful work.
