Moarein
Hello people! I am opening a new topic for my new project - HMS Victory The scale is 1/100, the company is Heller. Several Years ago, I bought the model from a friend who had started it, but refused to finish The model collected dust on the shelf for a long time, and now his time has come. I will not go into the history of the ship - anyone can dig in Google. In my opinion, this is the most common ship model - there is a lot of material for it, etc. I'm still working on the plan in my head, I'll start slowly and see what comes out. The ship is an order. Here's what I have: 4

nheather
Did you know that the HMS Victory carried a quarter as many as the total number of guns deployed at the Battle of Waterloo. Even more impressive, because the guns carried by HMS Victory were generally larger than those at Waterloo the total shot poundage of HMS Victory’s cannon was about the same as the total shot poundage of all the cannon at Waterloo. Cheers, Nigel

Thanks for the information the good news for me is the fact, that not all guns are visible
Brandy
I'll be following this one. Strangely enough I also received this kit from a friend who started but didn't finish, but that was in the late 1970's. Unfortunately it ended its days as a target for my air rifle! Moarein
Step 2: The cannons are two groups - large and small. The large ones are 60 pieces, and only the barrel can be seen. Of the small ones, maybe a maximum of 16 are visible - I cleaned them thoroughly. Waiting for painting. The gun carriages are painted with Tamia's H37 Tan base. The visible 16 carriages have been completely cleaned.

Courageous
Credit to you Moarein for cleaning all those gun parts, one daunting job. Stuart
Moarein
I completed the visible cannons with an etched coat of arms, a rope ring and a trigger. The gun carriages are painted and waiting for further manipulations. I assembled the caronades completely, giving them a light wash. It hasn't dried yet:

Courageous
Alright, I'll ask. Why are two cannons a different colour to the rest? Stuart

Stuart Because on one cannon I went too far with the effects. When it dries I will see if it needs repair

dafi
Wonderful Job! I think Stuart could mean the 2 carronades that come from the brown sprue in contrast to the others being black plastic. Once painted all are black 🙂 XXXDAn

Once painted all are black 🙂 XXXDAn Aaaa maybe I didn't understand the question - I'm sorry I don't know why these two are brown, maybe because they are in a different gun carriage, and there are only two of this type of cannon. We have to ask Heller about this
dafi
Very simple, the 2 brown sprues where you find the carronades are the ones that are for all the double parts, or dividable by 2. Thats why these 2 brown sprues are identical. The guns have their own sprues as there are that many 🙂 Simply a question of how often parts are needed. Moarein
The "invisible" cannons are ready - 60 pieces. I will not go into more detail, because only 1/3 of the barrel is visible. I started with a trial removal of the old paint from the galleries:
