stevej60
Afternoon folk's,built for the "kit you built as a kid" GB back on familiar turf for build number two with a wingy thing. This was one of the early forays into 1/48 scale modelling for Airfix and me.The kit was I think the second boxing from the eighties original decal's which behaved beautifully, brush painted in my mix of Tamiya acrylics then a little graphite staining for the exhaust and nose guns,as always many thanks for looking and for a little on JG54's maverick approach to colour's over to @Troy Smith and others you never know it might inspire you to have a go I,d love a crack at an FW190. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235072514-airfix-148-old-tool-109f-colour-question/

Ruskin Air Services
Great build Steve, built it when it was first released and in those colours too. I think in my youth my pocket money was mainly spent on Airfix, girls were just irritating then. Down the newsagents buy the latest issue of Battle weekly or Victor then to the local toy shop to mull over the next gluey purchase something standard - Airfix or go really cosmopolitan - monogram, fujimi, hasegawa.

woody37
This looks superb, can't believe it's the old kit. It's the only 109 I've ever built, way back as a nipper despite having several more modern kits in the stash. Gorgeous finish Steve
