Junkers Ju 87

I've been told by another modeller that the Austrian air force received some examples prior to the takeover of the country by Germany and that the Croatian air force also used the type. Does anyone have more info' please as they'd make unusual models?

From the Crowood publication by Peter C Smith  12 Anton-2's were ordered by Austria and built at Dessau in 1937.  With the absorption of Austria into the Reich these were taken over by the Luftwaffe for training purposes.

 

Croatia had 12 Ju88R's and Doras in 1944 used for counter insurgency operations

From the Wikipedia page on the Croatian Air Force:-

Fifteen Ju 87D dive bombers and a few Ju 87R-2 extended range dive bombers are known to have been supplied to the HZL, and six of these were flown operationally against Soviet troops in the late summer of 1944.

The Stuka was operated by Several airforces:-

Condor Legion (in Spain) - Ju-87A, Ju-87B in Spanish colours.

Hungary - Ju-87A , Ju-87B , Ju-87 D.

Italy.       -  Ju-87B, Ju-87R,  Ju-87 D.  

Romania-  Ju-87D

Bulgaria -  Ju-87R, Ju-87D

Slovakia -  Ju-87D

Russia    -  Ju-87D  (captured)

Yugoslavia-Ju-87B (captured)

Use by Croatia is disputed.

Indeed - they may be the same thing as Luftwaffe Ju87s used by a NSG according to one reference.
